D4E is following national, state and county guidelines and requirements as well as our own safety measures so that we can continue to provide a fun dancing experience while keeping our clients safe.
Thank you for your understanding and patience as we adjust and adapt to the new safety guidelines.
Please read through these policies and procedures prior to attending an in-studio class.
SAFETY:
- Medify air purifiers have been added to each studio, lobby and cubby area for an extra layer of protection against the spread of the coronavirus.
- We will be increasing the daily cleaning and sanitizing of D4E studios with additional weekly deep cleanings for extra sanitation.
- Classes are scheduled to allow time between them so that dancers can exit the studios and building prior to the next dancers’ arrival and to allow for proper cleaning of the studios between classes.
- In the dance studio, dancers will be assigned to spaces marked with a 6 ft. x 6 ft. square on the floor and those squares are spaced apart to allow for physical distance between dancers.
- Face masks are required and must be worn at all times when entering the building and entering D4E studios. This includes while dancing. Anyone not wearing a face mask will be kindly asked to do so.
- The water fountain in the hallway is off limits at all times.
- Dancers must bring their own water bottles and have them CLEARLY labeled with the dancer's first name and at least the initial of last name.
- Dancers must bring dance shoes into D4E studios in a clearly labeled drawstring bag. Only dance shoes should be in this bag. Please do not bring anything else from home in the bag. (Shoe change procedures below.)
- Hand sanitizing stations will be in the lobby and immediately outside of the dance studios for students to sanitize their hands before entering each class and when existing class.
- We encourage bathroom needs to be taken care of at home and used only as an emergency at the studio. Bathroom will be cleaned and sanitized after each class. Touchless soap dispensers have been added to the bathroom.
- There will be NO lost & found. Please clearly label all items. Staff members will assist in ensuring all students take their belongings at the end of their class. Any items left will be discarded.
- If your dancer is sick, please keep him/her at home.
ARRIVAL/CLASS/DISMISSAL PROCEDURES:
- Arrive 5 minutes before class begins and wait socially distanced in the hallway.
- Everyone (including instructors) entering the lobby will have their temperature taken and will be asked few health questions before entering the D4E lobby.
- Anyone with a 100.4 degree or higher temperature will be denied entry and can follow along with their class via Zoom. They must remain home until fever free for 48 hours without the aid of medication. If for any reason a child says they are not feeling well during class they will be isolated and sent home immediately.
- All parents must say their goodbyes at the door.
- Dancers with class scheduled in Studio 1 will sit socially distanced with clearly marked spots on the lobby benches to change shoes*. Colored X’s will coincide with X’s in the squares on the studio floor that are spaced 6 ft. apart.
- Dancers with class scheduled in Studio 2 will sit socially distanced in the cubby room with clearly marked spots to change their shoes*. Colored X’s will coincide with X’s in the squares on the studio floor that are spaced 6 ft. apart.
- Each dancer will be invited into the studio with their clearly labeled water bottle and will go to their square. Hand sanitizer will be provided before entry. They will place their water bottle in the corner of their square.
- If your dancer is in a combo class which requires a shoe change, they will carry their shoes into the studio and store them in the upper corner of their square. If shoe changes occur during class, more hand sanitizer will be provided.
- Dancers will be dismissed one at a time to use hand sanitizer and put their street shoes back on.
- Parents, please be prompt at pick up and please keep socially distanced in the hallway and wear a face mask.
