Between work, school, practices, house work, and an endless list of other activities, it's no wonder we feel a little disconnected from our families. Making sure each person is going in the right direction at the right time can be stressful and exhausting for everyone in your crew. Family yoga creates a fun and valuable way to deepen the connection between caregiver and child. Why should kids (and caregivers) do yoga? Not only does yoga support physical strength, balance, and flexibility, it also helps us become more attentive and centered. Using yoga poses, flows, partner activities, and games, we will build fitness, confidence, focus, sensitivity, trust, and cooperation. Mindfulness practices, including breathing, guided relaxation, and meditation, give parents and children the tools they need to regulate their minds and bodies, cope with daily stress and anxiety, and develop resiliency. We tap into children’s social-emotional development by incorporating emotional vocabulary, peer interaction, and positive self-talk while fostering acceptance, confidence, and communication. Nurture your family in body, mind, and spirit in a supportive and fun environment. NAMASTE!
What to Wear: Comfortable clothing. Please bring a yoga mat and a water bottle.
